Coronation Street star Joe Duttine has revealed he gets insulted by fans over the Geoff and Yasmeen storyline.
Over the last year, Geoff has been abusing Yasmeen in a coercive control storyline.
When Yasmeen attacked Geoff in self-defence, she was sent to prison. However Geoff played the victim and had his son believing he was the one being abused.

Eventually Tim saw Geoff’s true colours when he discovered a video of Geoff abusing his wife Yasmeen by screaming in her face and insulting her.
However actor Joe Duttine has revealed that fans have insulted him over Tim taking so long to his his dad’s nasty side.
As reported in the Metro, Joe said: “I’ve literally had people calling me thick and all sorts on the street.
“I was filling my car up the other day and someone shouted ‘Oi Tim you thick [bleep]. This storyline has reached so many people and everyone wanted Tim to realise what is going on.
“The reaction on social media once he found out was brilliant and it was great to get feedback that people enjoyed the episodes. It’s good to know that people think you are doing a good job, it gave me a real lift and it’s very much appreciated.”
Coronation Street: What’s next for Geoff and Tim?
Currently Tim wants nothing to do with his dad. Next week Sally and Tim prepare for their wedding and try to keep it a secret from Geoff.
In the scenes they plan their wedding with help from Abi, Gail and Faye. But as they enjoy a lowkey hen party in the garden, Geoff overhears the wedding plans.
Later Faye apologises to Sally and Tim for letting the cat out of the bag about their big day. Sally and Tim play it down and Tim implores his dad to keep away.
Meanwhile Alya despairs when Yasmeen admits that she is dreading the trial and feels safe in prison as Geoff can’t get to her.
She even tells Alya she doesn’t want to leave.
Meanwhile an excited Sally prepares for her wedding, Tim assures her Geoff won’t dare ruin things.

Geoff begs Tim to let him attend their big day and Tim confides in Abi he’s worried what Geoff may do.
As the wedding party head off, Abi decides to take matters into her own hands.
Later at the wedding reception a police officer turns up. What tricks has Geoff got up his sleeve this time?
Tim tells his dad that he’s lost his family and only has himself to blame.
