Corrie favourite Rob Mallard and his boyfriend have reportedly called it quits after seeing each other for six months.
The soap star, 26, and Ben Perryman are said to have quietly gone their separate ways after secretly splitting over Christmas.
The Sun claims the couple ended their relationship after discussing their future, deciding it was for the best for them to “move on” separately after their being together came to “a natural end”.
An insider is quoted as telling the news outlet: “Rob and Ben decided to end things over Christmas.

“Things weren’t working out and they came to the decision together after a lot of talking.
“It’s sad but it’s the best thing for both of them to end things and move on.”
Ben, who has previously spoken lovingly about the Daniel Osbourne actor on social media, has shared several ambiguous posts on Instagram hinting at a split over the last few weeks.

One Instagram stories post showed an image of a broken heart, while another included a snap of him and Rob and a reference to the Ariana Grande tune ‘Thank You, Next’.
It wasn’t all that long since the pair went public by stepping out at the ITV soap’s Christmas party at the start of December.
In images of the couple that appear to have been taken in a photo booth at the bash, Ben gushingly described Rob as his “happy place”.
Another uploaded festive snap, showing Rob wearing novelty antlers and Ben in a Santa hat, contains the caption: “If anyone could teach me how to spell happy all over again it would be him.
“Everything about you is just perfect. Robert Mallard you’re my hero.”
Rob, whose current heartbreaking storyline sees wife Sinead battling cancer, previously dated co-star Daniel Brocklebank, who plays vicar Billy.
They split in 2017 around two months after revealing they were dating.
