Coronation Street fans in tears at Aidan Connor’s ‘return from the dead’

Aidan's final appearance on the cobbles was an emotional one

Aidan Connor’s final appearance in Coronation Street reduced fans to tears last night.

The former factory owner tragically took his own life earlier this year in a critically-acclaimed and hard-hitting storyline.

And in last night’s episode he appearaed once more on screen when an interview he did as part of a student’s report into organ donation was sent to his business partner Alya Nazir.

His reappearance after his tragic end left fans sobbing on social media.

In the clip, Aidan spoke movingly about saving his sister Carla’s life by donating a kidney leaving Alya feeling guilty and emotional.

“It was to my sister Carla,” he said as he was asked about who he had donated an organ to.

He added: “She needed one and I was a match. Not hard at all, it was a no brainer.”

As he told the interviewer about how he didn’t feel brave going under the knife, Alya became upset.

Aidan added:  “My family are the most important thing to me.

“It’s the best thing I’ve ever done. Saving the life of someone you love, it doesn’t get any better.”

Alya will be left feeling guilty over the way she took the factory from Aidan.

She told PA Sarah Platt: “He keeps going back to his family and how they mean everything to him.

“So what am I doing with their factory?”

Viewers quite agreed as they sobbed on Twitter.

One wrote: “Oh Aidan. Miss him so much! #corrie”
