Viewers of ITV’s Coronation Street are starting to worry for Yasmeen Nazir as her boyfriend Geoff Metcalfe continues to try and control her.
Geoff first arrived in Weatherfield last year and soon began a relationship with Speed Daal chef Yasmeen.
Over the past few months, viewers have picked up on Geoff’s controlling behaviour, but it appears to be getting worse, as Corrie kick off their coercive control storyline.
Last night, Yasmeen managed to get the evening off work so Geoff could throw a dinner party with son Tim and his wife, Sally.
However, even though Tim cancelled, it was Yasmeen Geoff was angry with when she went to a wine tasting before the meal and ended up missing the starter.
Geoff made a joke that he cooked Yasmeen’s beloved chicken Charlotte, worrying a tipsy Yasmeen. However, he assured her that he hadn’t.
The night seemed to go well but it was obvious that Geoff was not happy with Yasmeen and after making her feel bad for being late and drinking too much, he slept in the spare room.
Viewers have begun to worry for Yasmeen and are begging her to leave Geoff.
Geoff go away. Please. Leave Yasmeen alone.

It doesn’t look like Geoff’s behaviour is going to change anytime soon.
This week will see Yasmeen mugged whilst walking home with the takings, leaving her shaken. Luckily Tracy is there to help and takes her home.
Desperate to play protector, Geoff insists she stays home from work. But the Speed Daal chef starts feeling cooped up at No.6 and decides to go out for some fresh air.
Geoff quickly acts hurt and talks her out of leaving.

Later in the week, Yasmeen enjoys herself as she spends time with granddaughter Alya and her friends as they party one evening. But Geoff isn’t happy seeing Yasmeen letting her hair down and orders her to bed.
Friday June 28 will see Alya fall asleep on the sofa after the party, but while she is sleeping, a gloved hand is seen stealing jewellery and photographs from a draw in Yasmeen’s house.

Next week things are set to get worse as Yasmeen is horrified when she discovers her precious belongings are missing.
Is an intruder guilty of theft or does Geoff know more than he’s letting on?
