Coronation Street viewers brand ITV soap “boring” as big week of eps fails to impress

They aren't loving the storylines

Viewers of Coronation Street have branded the ITV soap “boring” as the show’s big week of episodes continues.

We’re currently visiting the cobbles later than usual, at 9pm every night Monday to Friday.

So far this week we’ve seen the Platts go on holiday, however all is not going to plan.

After Gail shot Lorraine Kelly in the leg with an arrow, the storyline turned to focusing on Natalie, David and Nick.

Gail recognised Natalie’s butterfly tattoo from the CCTV footage which showed someone stealing Audrey’s money.

Gail called the police on Natalie and with Shona suspecting David was having an affair with Natalie, he realised he had to tell the truth that Nick stole the money and he helped his brother spend it.

Viewers have also seen Sally, Yasmeen, Jenny and Sinead get scammed after buying a horse from a dodgy dealer, which turned out to be an “old nag”.

Elsewhere, Gary Windass has been captured by loan shark Rick Neelan after Sarah took his passport back.

In a Digital Spy forum called “Boreanation Street” viewers have expressed their thoughts on this week’s episodes.

One user started the forum with: “I tuned into Corrie last night, not watched it for a while.

“Sally was wittering on about a horse, it then appeared in the garden. David confessed to Audrey that Nick had stolen money from her, Nick tried to blame someone else.

“What is happening, none of it made any sense. Who on earth buys a bloody horse on a whim?

“The last I saw almost all of the street were on the bones of their backsides as the factory had shut. It’s in a bad way just now.”

One user added: “I can’t bear to watch it anymore.”

Another wrote: “David only ‘fessed up because Shona threw a tantrum. The lie didn’t exactly eat him up a while ago.

“I’m not surprised people are switching off. Same old [expletive]. Christmas is going to be 10 times worse with Gemma.”

Viewers have also expressed their thoughts on Twitter.
