Fans of Coronation Street have branded the redesign of No.3 ‘horrific’.
The Bailey family, recently bought and moved into the property, which was previously owned by Emily Bishop.

Before they even moved in, the family began renovating the property.
Over the past few weeks, it appears builder Ed Bailey has knocked down the wall which separated the dining room and a small downstairs room and completely moved the stair case.

In a Digital Spy forum one viewer wrote: “If the new Victoria Street extension wasn’t bad enough, I have just had the unfortunate experience of seeing what the set designers have done with Emily Bishop’s home at No.3.
“UTTERLY HORRIFIC. The set design team needs to be SACKED.”
One viewer expressed their confusion at the changes writing: “I really don’t understand it, there now seems to be a new door to an under-stairs cupboard. In the exact same place a few weeks ago there was a hole in the wall and Ken’s house was on the other side.

“Where has the space for a new cupboard come from? And why would you do that with the stairs?”
A second viewer said: “I don’t have a clue what anyone was thinking when they redesigned this interior.
“They’ve changed the layout of the stairs though they now take up more space than they ever took up before – what’s the point?”
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
