Viewers of ITV’s Coronation Street have turned their back on Beth Sutherland and “can’t stand her”.
The Underworld machinist, played by Lisa George, first appeared on the cobbles nearly eight years ago with her son Craig, as an old flame of Steve McDonald‘s.
Since her arrival, Beth went on to marry boyfriend Kirk Sutherland, struck up a friendship with Tracy McDonald and began working at Underworld.
However it appears viewers aren’t enjoying Beth’s behaviour.
In a Digital spy forum called “CS: Beth Tinker” one viewer wrote: “Never really been a fan of the character.
“Has always come across to me as selfish, judgemental and will never admit being wrong or apologise even when shown or proved wrong.
“But the last few weeks she’s really got on my nerves since the spat with Ken’s girlfriend at Sinead’s baby do and now this total garbage with the photography class and competition.
“Wish they’d get rid of her and the other Tinkers and our Kirky!”
Other viewers agreed with the post.
One wrote: “Can’t stand her. She’d be one of the few I’d axe.”
A second put: “Can’t stand her.”
Another commented: “I never used to have much of an opinion on her either way, but she’s been consistently vile for the past couple of years.”
A fourth added: “She’s absolutely awful at the moment.”
Recently, Beth has been in a feud with her niece Sinead’s father-in-law Ken Barlow and his girlfriend Claudia.

After Beth was overheard making fun of Claudia, the feud was ignited and disaster struck at Sinead and Daniel’s christening for their son Bertie, when a food fight started over a dog-fouling image.

Last week, Coronation Street viewers were fed up with the ‘horrible’ factory workers after Beth, Izzy and Paul gave Carla Connor a hard time upon her arrival home from a specialist unit in Carlisle for her psychosis.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
