Georgia Taylor, who plays Toyah Battersby in the ITV soap, sent her congratulations writing: “Oh George what gorgeous news! Congratulations to you both xxx.”
And Jane Danson, who plays Leanne Battersby, said: “Aw lovely George that’s such great news – congratulations to you bothxxx.”
George hasn’t announced whether he’s welcomed a boy or girl.
The actor seems to have a better love life than his alter ego Henry did.
Fans of Corrie will remember George played Gemma Winter’s on/off boyfriend Henry in the ITV soap from 2017 until 2018.
Gemma met Henry at a party and the pair dated for a short amount of time but Gemma fell for him quickly, even throwing him a surprise birthday party.

However Gemma’s friend Chesney discovered Henry was only dating Gemma as part of a bet.
Although by that time Henry had fallen for Gemma for real, when she learnt about the bet she proceeded to dump a load of food on Henry before ending their relationship.
Henry returned a few months later telling Gemma his parents were forcing him to get engaged to a woman named Cressida.
He eventually called off the engagement and he and Gemma got back together.
But when two men came after him, demanding he repaid Cressida’s family £20k for the cancelled wedding, Henry’s devious streak reared its head again.

In order to pay them off he pretended to have fallen in the Rovers’ cellar and broken his arm, blaming it on landlord Johnny Connor by claiming there was spilled beer on the top of the stairs.
However Gemma soon realised he was lying and told Johnny and his wife Jenny, before telling Henry the police were on the way.
He was last seen when Chesney duped him into getting into a car with the thugs who were after him.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
