Actress Jane Danson, who plays Leanne Battersby in Coronation Street, has shared an emotional tribute for Baby Loss Awareness Week after revealing the heartache of her own miscarriage.

Jane posted the tribute to her Instagram page.

She wrote: “Babyloss awareness. To anyone who is suffering or who has suffered x #babylossawarenessweek x.

Friends rushed to support Jane.

Georgia Taylor, who plays her Corrie stepsister Toyah Battersby, wrote: “Love you xxx.”

Kym Marsh, who plays Michelle Connor, wrote: “Lots of love darling xxx.”

Jane and husband Robert Beck are parents to Harry and Sam.

Last year Jane revealed that she sadly lost her third child a few years ago.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, she said: “Sadly we lost our third child a few years ago – I found out I’d miscarried at the three-month scan.

“It was heartbreaking and it took us a long time to get over it.

“There will always be that sadness there and there’ll always be that desire, but we’re getting older now and the boys are growing up.

“Sometimes you just have to appreciate what you have.”
