Coronation Street’s Charles Lawson has revealed that it might not be long before we see Jim McDonald back on the cobbles.
The actor dropped some serious hints on Good Morning Britain earlier today that Jim’s exit from the Street last month isn’t the last we have seen of the character.
Earlier this year Jim made a dramatic return to Weatherfield after being released from prison.
He got back in touch with ex wife Liz McDonald and dropped the almighty bombshell that the daughter they thought had died at birth back in 1992 was actually still alive.

Corrie viewers will know that this was all a huge hoax to get cash from his family, and that Jim was working along side his girlfriend, Hannah, who was pretending to be dead Katie.
But while Jim was busy trying to scam money out of his former wife, he found himself falling for Liz and the whole lie was revealed.
The last time we saw Jim on screen he was seen getting into a car with Hannah after a huge row with Liz at Katie’s graveside.
Realising that Hannah was all he had left, Jim appeared to decide to give their romance another go and they were seen driving off to Belfast together.
But could Jim’s resurfacing feelings for Liz bring him back to Coronation Street?
Charles Lawson, who plays Jim, revealed this morning: “He may return next year for a longer stint.”
It remains to be seen if Jim will be returning with or without Hannah by his side this time. Let’s hope for Jim’s sake it is without!
The actor also told Good Morning Britain presenters Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan that he will be making some life changes after suffering a mini-stroke on stage last month.
Charles was performing as the lead in a national tour of Rebus: Long Shadows when he was forced to leave the stage after feeling faint.
He revealed: “I’ve had to readdress my life. When I’ve finished the play I’ll have to take some time to reassess my life, which is a shock as I like life.
“I’ve never been like that, I’ve been a rock and roller and I’ve always been in charge of me and had good alarm bells.”
The actor also went on to admit that doctors had warned him about his health before he suffered the stroke.

He had been told three weeks before appearing in the play that it might be wise for him to consider pulling out, but Charles refused on the basis that he was playing the lead role in the show.
Charles continued: “Listen to your alarm bells, folks. The doctor did say I could go on and do it now. I’m fine, I’m rocking.”
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
