Last night’s Coronation Street has got fans talking, but it isn’t the fact that Josh Tucker has regained consciousness to find he’s gone blind that had everyone heading for social media.
Instead viewers are convinced they’ve unearthed a huge secret…

Fans have taken to Twitter to point out that Josh looks different with his cuts and bruises and they’re convinced the character is being played by a totally new actor!

While Corrie fans have become convinced that Josh has woken up as an entirely different person, the end credits last night’s episode have confirmed that actor Ryan Clayton is in fact still playing the role.

Viewers saw David’s rapist wake up in hospital following his brutal beating from almost-victim Ethan, but there was little sympathy for Josh as he realised that he couldn’t see.

But while we’re sure that Corrie fans don’t condone violence, there was an overwhelming feeling on social media that Josh has got what was coming to him…

While it seems unlikely that anyone is going to feel sorry for Josh any time soon, this new twist in the storyline certainly means a new dynamic has been added to the character.
