On Wednesday night (3 October), Jack clearly looked apprehensive about returning to school.
Despite being reassured, his fears sadly proved right, when he sat on the sofa and became visibly upset about his day.
The poor child admitted: “All they wanted to talk about was my foot. They kept trying to touch it and everything.”
Referring to his best buddy, Jack went on to say: “He thinks I’m a freak – they all do, they are right.”
In the emotional scenes, distraught Kevin tried to soothe his son, only for the conversation to develop into an argument.
Viewers took to Twitter to express their heartbreak over the lad’s upset, with one saying: “Brilliant scenes from Kyran Bowes yet again. He’s capturing Jack’s hurt & emotion so well. What a talented young actor.”

Quite rightly, young actor Kyran Bowes has been praised for his portrayal of Jack.
His character developed sepsis after grazing his knee playing football.
In devastating scenes, Kevin was forced to make the decision to amputate Jack’s foot – a decision no father should ever have to make.
