Carla Connor is stunned and delighted next week when she’s approached by Alya Nazir who offers to sell her back the factory for Aidan’s original stake.
Shocked by Alya’s change of mind, it becomes clear when the current Underworld boss hands over the DVD Aidan made after donating his kidney to save Carla’s life.
The DVD showed Alya how much family meant to the tragic former factory boss and she tells Carla that she can’t keep Underworld from the Connors with a clear conscience.
Carla jumps at the opportunity but later confesses to Johnny and Michelle that she’s struggling to get the money together after promising Maria she’ll invest in her salon franchise.
Despite this Carla arrives in the pub and orders champagne, saying the factory is back in the hands of its rightful owners.
Peter overhears Carla talking about buying the factory back and heads off to find Alya.
When he finds her he tells her that he’s Carla’s investor and will have the money with her by the end of the day.
But how will Carla react when she finds out her cheating ex-husband has stepped in to save the day.
Pretty well as it goes. When she hears Johnny talking about the importance of family, she decides to take Peter up on his offer.
Peter is delighted, but Michelle is worried about Carla and Peter reuniting in the business.
Carla assures her friend that she plans on keeping Peter at arm’s length but it seems Peter has other plans.
