At the start of the week Daniel begins planning the secret ceremony, unaware that Sinead is keeping secrets of her own.

He decorates the urban garden for an alternative Pagan wedding, confiding in Ken and telling him that Sinead is three months pregnant.

He then asks Ken if he will come to the wedding, leaving Ken torn as it’s also Tracy and Steve’s big dad.

In the end he agrees to attend Daniel’s wedding over Tracy’s, which will no doubt leave the florist royally narked off.

Meanwhile Sinead heads off to another hospital appointment alone, still having not revealed to Daniel that she could have cervical cancer.

At the hospital, Sinead has the biopsy and is then terrified as she gets taken for an MRI scan too.

At the urban garden, Ken, Beth, Kirk, Kate, Craig and Roy all gather, waiting for Sinead’s arrival.

When she gets back to the cobbles and steps off the tram she’s stunned when she sees the beautifully decorated garden and Daniel, who drops to one knee and asks her to marry him. Now.

Sinead is in turmoil as she agrees to the Pagan ceremony, but will she tell Daniel the truth about her health?

Later, Daniel asks Sinead if he can reveal their baby news and she agrees.

As everyone congratulates them, Sinead tells Beth that she will always put her baby first.

Beth listens on, unaware of the enormity of Sinead’s confession.

Sinead then turns to former lover Chesney Brown and opens up to him about what’s been going on.

Will he encourage her to tell the truth to Daniel and consider her options and what it might mean for her future?

It was revealed last week that Daniel was planning a surprise wedding for Sinead. But while he is thinking about cakes and flowers, little does he know his pregnant wife-to-be is harbouring a huge secret.

Both Sinead and Daniel were thrilled to see their baby on the screen at their 12-week scan, but it’s only after she sends a happy Daniel off on an errand that Sinead told the sonographer that she has been bleeding for weeks.

Thankfully she was seen by a doctor sharpish, who revealed to a terrified Sinead that they have found a lump on her cervix that needs further investigation.

Warned that the lump could well be cancerous, Sinead was devastated when the doctors reveal she could need chemo and might have to face the prospect of terminating her pregnancy.

But instead of telling Daniel the truth so they can face the future together, the scared mum-to-be kept quiet.

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
