Peter Barlow’s past mistakes are set to come back to haunt him in coming weeks when Carla Connor decides to put her ex-husband to the test.
Coronation Street fans will remember that Peter was having an affair with Michelle Keegan’s character, Tina McIntyre, before she was brutally murdered by Carla’s brother Rob in 2014.
But as Carla and Peter grow closer by the end of this month, Carla comes up with a plan to see if Peter has changed since they were last together, and Tina McIntyre is the inspiration behind her trap.

Peter helps Carla out financially next week when he offers to become her business partner and buy Aidan Connor’s share of the factory from Alya Nazir.
But as it looks like the pair are going to be spending a lot more time together, Carla is determined she is going to hold all the cards this time round.
As Peter makes it clear that he still has feelings for his ex, Carla comes up with a test to see if he’s being honest – after all she doesn’t want to make the same mistake twice.
Chris Gascoyne, who plays Peter, told What’s On TV: “When interviewing for a new machinist, Carla is struck by how much like Tina one of the applicants is.
“She decides to let Peter interview her and see how he handles it. She is testing whether or not he has changed. But will he pass the test? You’ll have to wait and see!
“Peter is older and wiser, and maybe not as impulsive as he once was. He is going to prove that he can help run the business successfully, and then see what follows.

“But with Nick Tilsley about to arrive back on the scene, anything could happen!”
