Speaking to OK!, Danny revealed that the name Albert holds a special meaning to Steph.
Explaining that he also “loves” the name, Danny added: “Steph’s granddad was called Albert but when we were in school I just knew him as Steph’s granddad, so when I suggested it, I didn’t know it was her granddad’s name.”
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old actor admitted that he couldn’t take his eyes off Albert for “five hours straight” after his birth.
I was very emotional,
Danny continued: “I was in bits. I was very emotional, I think it was just the anticipation of waiting for nine months to meet them and then finally being able to say that the baby is here and he’s safe and sound.”
In addition, Steph said: “You just can’t put it into words, it’s hard.”
The couple announced the arrival of their son in late October.
In the post, Danny shared a black and white image of him and Steph holding their son’s tiny feet.
Alongside the photo, he shared: “I was lucky enough to find someone who shines bright enough to lead me out of the dark, but I never imagined to be lead to the brightest place imaginable.”
