EastEnders fans have been left scratching their heads after a major storyline has been left dangling.
Viewers tuning in last night (Tuesday 8 January) were expecting to see the outcome to Friday’s tense cliffhanger – when Hunter appeared to shoot himself.
So is he alive, dead, maimed…? We just don’t know!

Fans accused the BBC soap of “forgetting” the storyline and some even thought they had missed an important episode explaining what had happened.
Friday night’s episode ended with troubled teen Hunter appearing to shoot himself after killing stepdad Ray Kelly with the same gun.
And fans have been left wondering whether Hunter is alive or dead.

Millions of viewers tuned in this week hoping to discover Hunter’s fate, and were already annoyed that they’d missed Monday’s episode due to the football.
To add to their fury, there was NO mention of Hunter during Tuesday night’s visit to Walford.
Instead, the episode focused heavily on Alfie Moon’s decision to run away with daughter Cherry, Bernie Taylor’s infatuation with Tiffany and Rainie’s mysterious illness.
Many fans turned to Twitter to complain about the oversight, accusing the storyline of making no sense.

I am SHOCKED they have just ignored the Mel, Hunter and Ray story line this week. How did this happen? Who thought it was a good idea to just have them disappear and totally loose any momentum the story had gained? #EastEnders

A third said: “Waited all weekend and still don’t know if Hunter is dead? #eastenders.”
One disgruntled viewer had even cancelled their fitness class, fuming: “So I cancelled Zumba tonight as #EastEnders was on only to find out what happened to hunter and he wasn’t even on tonight’s episode ffs.”
“Did you get your episodes mixed up?” asked many more.
Infuriated fans will now have to wait until Thursday night’s episode to find out if Hunter’s fate will be revealed…
It was revealed this week that actor Charlie Winters, who plays Hunter, will soon bow out of the soap after bosses decided to axe the character just a year after he was introduced.
