EastEnders fans have sparked outrage on Twitter as it’s announced there will not be an episode airing tonight.
Instead tonight on BBC One, viewers will be able to watch the FA cup match Wolverhampton Wanderers versus Liverpool. The match coverage will air from 7:30pm till 10pm.
On Friday (04.01.19) @bbceastenders tweeted “#EastEnders will be back on Tuesday, at 7:30pm. There’s a double bill on Friday to make up for it!”

Viewers thought Hunter Owen might have taken his own life at the end of Friday night’s episode although EastEnders bosses have confirmed he did not shoot himself.
In the aftermath of Mel and Ray’s Wedding we saw him arrested for bigamy only to escape from the police.
When he caught up with Mel and Hunter, after a dramatic showdown, he was finally shot by step-son Hunter.

EastEnders will be back on tomorrow night at 7:30pm on BBC. Friday will have a double bill of EastEnders with episodes airing at 8pm and 9pm
