EastEnders actor Jake Wood turned 47 yesterday and celebrated the special day with his nearest and dearest.
Jake, who plays Max Branning in the BBC soap, uploaded a series of photos to his Instagram account showing his family posing in a stunning lavender field.
One shot sees the actor, his son Buster and wife Alison sharing a warm hug as they take a selfie with the purple field sprawled out in the background (click the arrow to see the photos).

A second photo shows his daughter Amber, who’s blending in with a purple Disney T-shirt, holding carrying two bags full of lavender.
While another picture shows the actor grinning into the camera as he takes a close-up selfie.

“What better way to spend your birthday than with these beauties in a field picking lavender?!” he wrote.
The post prompted a flood of “happy birthday” messages from his fans and also famous followers, including former pro footballer Leon McKenzie and British boxer Sandy Ryan.
He also celebrated his big day with a trip to see The Illusionists, which features a line up of seven magicians, in London’s West End.

Jake regularly posts snaps of himself, Alison and their kids on social media, with another recent shot showing a touching moment between mother and son.
He wrote next to the sweet picture of Alison, Buster and their dog strolling in a field: “Love this photo. Reminds me that parenthood is a journey we all embark upon together.
“I know that our two couldn’t wish for a better mum in my beautiful wife Alison either. Happy days.”
