Bex Fowler’s future might not be in Albert Square, it has been revealed.
The daughter of Sonia and Martin, Bex could leave her parents and old memories behind in Walford as new scenes show her at Oxford University.
And her departure could be linked to a dark new storyline lined up for her character.

She could also be leaving in an attempt to escape her mounting feelings for Kush, her dad’s best mate, who she has already shared a kiss with.
Now, according to Metro.co.uk, EastEnders is lining up harrowing scenes for teenager Bex as her bottled up grief over Shakil Kazemi’s death lead her down a dark path…
She’s been quietly struggling for a while now, and her confused feelings for Kush don’t help – nor do her approaching exams either.

While she’s divided by her own desires and those of her parents, she agrees to attend a uni open day for the prestigious establishment.
However, as the pressure becomes too much and, after clashing with another girl whose intentions are unclear at this stage, Bex breaks down.
The Metro reports: “This is the beginning of quite the downward spiral for Bex. With choices to make and things not going well for her, she has very few places to turn – and the decisions she goes on to make could be life changing and ones that she will regret.”
Will she decide to start a new life at university and leave the ghosts of the past in Walford?

And perhaps focusing on her studies will distract her from the tragic death of her boyfriend Shakil one year ago?
