It looks like EastEnders newcomer Chantelle Atkins is here to stay when she moves onto the Square with her husband and kids.
While Karen Taylor has been thrilled to have her daughter in Walford, things are more than a little strained between Chantelle and her dad, Mitch Baker.
But next week sees a new twist when Chantelle brings her kids to the Square and introduces them to the rest of the family.
After accidentally getting herself a job at the new salon being launched by Kim and Denise Fox, it looked like Chantelle’s new role was under fire already when it turned out Mitch was also involved in the business.

Kim and Denise are desperate to keep hold of their hairdresser and beg Mitch to make amends with his daughter so that she agrees to take the new role… but can he make up for his past mistakes?
Next week doesn’t get off to the best start when Mitch forgets his own daughter’s birthday. But when Chantelle’s husband Gray organises a meal out at Walford East, Mitch arrives and makes things up to her in his own way.
Convinced that she should stay put in Walford now that she’s made up with her dad, Chantelle agrees to work at the salon full-time, leaving the Fox sisters thrilled.
But it’s not only a job that Chantelle had landed in Walford.
She is also bringing her while family with her, and is thrilled when rich husband Gray surprises her with a new house on the Square.
The hairdresser couldn’t be more excited when she realises they’re moving into No 1 Albert Square… but little does she know she is moving into the house her new boss, Kim, used to live in!
Mitch is thrilled when Chantelle introduces him to his grandchildren, Mia and Mackenzie, and Karen couldn’t be happier to have her daughter and grandchildren just across the Square.
