Next week will see Keegan Baker turn to drugs after getting a shocking reminder of best friend Shakil’s death – but just how dark are things set to get for the teenager?
EastEnders fans will remember that Shakil Kazemi was brutally stabbed to death last year as a victim of gang crime.
And while his best friend Keegan was also stabbed, he survived the attack thanks to Mick Carter finding him and racing him to the hospital.
But Shakil’s death has weighed heavily on Keegan’s mind ever since, and next week he is delivered a stark reminder of his best friend’s needless murder, causing him to re-live the nightmare all over again.

The last few months have seen Keegan get drawn into the world of drugs thanks to dangerous Evie’s presence on the Square, but next week sees a new twist in the storyline.
Struggling to cope, Keegan thinks drugs will help him forget his troubles and numb the pain of losing Shakil – but is this a decision he’ll live to regret?
His plan hits a snag when he doesn’t have any cash, and unable to borrow money from mum Karen, he realises he needs to come up with a plan B.
Storming out the house after witnessing Mitch sweet talking Karen into looking after Bailey again, he bumps into Phil Mitchell.

Armed with the money he needs for drugs, will Keegan manage to find Evie and get his hands on what he wants?
Is this just the start of more drug-related drama ahead for the teen? With Evie sticking around in Walford, could he soon find himself caught up in her dark and dangerous world?
