Jack Branning is worried in EastEnders next week when he gets a panicked call from Mel Owen.
He’s relieved to discover it’s just a burst pipe at the flat but the pair take the opportunity to talk about their break up.
The pair decide to call a truce and share a hug, just at the moment that Ray walks in and spots them.
Mel is then called away to work at the club leaving Jack and Ray to wind each other up.
A frustrated Jack decides to take action on Ray, but what does he do?
Meanwhile, Hunter notices that Mel and Ray are bickering and wants to keep the peace between them so he offers to host a lunch at Ian’s restaurant.
As he attempts to cook them a meal, Masood is mortified at the amount of mess he’s made.
But he eventually warms to Hunter who is clearly eager to impress Ray and offers to help him.
Hunter is left gutted though when Ray bails on the lunch and he lies to Mel, blaming himself for Ray cancelling.
An upset Hunter heads to the Vic and gives the meal he made to Linda.
Later Hunter’s suspicions that Ray is hiding something get the better of him and after an odd encounter, he heads home and does some digging.
It’s not long before Hunter’s curiosity unearths something very surprising indeed…
Irish actor Sean Mahon recently revealed to Digital Spy that Ray is back with one thing on his mind…
“Ray returns to Walford to make good with his family. Everything is unresolved, so he comes back to put things right.”
Talking of his on-screen sister Ciara, Sean doesn’t think Ray is too dissimilar to his sibling: “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, so certainly they’re not a family to shy away from different measures to get what they want.”
“Ray is very used to creating situations to work in his favour, so certainly with Jack, or anybody, if he is motivated to it, he is able to handle it without feeling a huge sense of threat.”
