Max Branning is left worried about wife Rainie’s health next week when she continues to act out of sorts.
As Rainie’s bizarre behaviour continues, it soon becomes clear that she is hiding something from Max… but what?
After her dramatic collapse this week, the mystery surrounding Rainie continues as she tries to put on a brave face and pretend that there’s nothing wrong with her.
But while she is clearly enjoying the attention that her mystery illness is getting her from Max, she is also left frustrated that he won’t trust her to look after little Abi after she collapsed while looking after her – so she starts to act like she’s no longer ill, when really she’s suffering in secret.

EastEnders fans will know that Max and Rainie have been through a bitter custody battle for Max’s granddaughter over the last year, with the pair finally being allowed to look after her.
But their fight for Abi didn’t come without its challenges… not only was their sham marriage revealed, but they also had to fight Cora Cross for the baby after she also went for custody of her great grandchild.
But since then Max and Rainie have become something of an unconventional family with the one-year-old, and have even developed feelings for one another as a result.
But could their modern day family set up be in jeopardy if Rainie really is hiding a sinister sickness from Max?

Next week will see Rainie continue to revel in Max’s attention, lapping up the affection she has craved from her husband for the majority of last year.
She’s thrilled when he abandons his plans to play football in the Square to look after her… realising he is clearly worried about her well-being.
But what is she hiding? Does Rainie know what is behind her sudden collapse, and will she continue to keep it a secret if it means more attention from her husband?
ED! readers are convinced that Rainie could be pregnant, and will struggle to know if Max or Jack is the dad… could they be right?
It would certainly explain a few things!
EastEnders airs Monday and Friday at 8pm and Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
