There’s trouble brewing between Jay Brown and Ruby Allen next week after a mysterious visit from the police leaves them spooked.
Ruby’s week gets off to a bad start when she hosts the Walford East restaurant event for Habiba and Iqra Ahmed, but things don’t quite go as planned.
Iqra gets upset when Ruby innocently puts a picture of the event on social media, leading to a big misunderstanding between the women.

Thankfully Ruby manages to rescue the event thanks to some help from the Slaters, but while she is schmoozing with guests, little does she know the police are looking for her.
Jay confides in Stacey Slater that the law are after Ruby, and while he has no idea what they need to talk to her about, he has lied that he doesn’t know where she is.
But the police sniffing around hasn’t put Jay off Ruby, and during the event he tries to make their relationship official… but Ruby is too busy smooth-talking potential clients to notice and he is left hurt.
As Ruby talks to Lewis, who could possibly have some work for her, she is upset when he tries to make a move on her and she lashes out.
After the harrowing few months that she has been through, it’s not surprising that Ruby doesn’t react well to Lewis’s advances.
But as she takes his behaviour to heart she orders him to leave, causing a scene at the party.
But things then go from bad to worse for Ruby when the restaurant bash comes to abrupt halt when something dramatic happens…
The following day Jay is worried when Ruby won’t answer his calls, and so he decides to go and see what is wrong.
But he gets a little more than he bargained for when Ruby slams the door in his face… what happened the night of the bash that has made her do such a U-turn on their romance?
Poor Jay has no idea what he has done wrong, but he makes matters worse when he sees Ruby the following day and gets totally the wrong end of the stick as they talk.

But as he and Ruby argue it out Jay even tries to give her flowers… but apparently it is too little too late for Ruby and when Jay puts his foot in it once again it seems their romance has hit rock bottom.
Is this the end of Ruby and Jay’s romance already? And what has happened to Ruby that has made her push Jay away?
EastEnders airs Monday and Friday at 8pm and Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
