The BBC soap has revealed that several central families will be torn apart as secrets, lies and even blood is spilled in Walford.

We have already revealed that, this festive period, the Slater family will implode as the identity of Hayley’s baby daddy is revealed.
And we wouldn’t want to be Alfie or Hayley when THAT happens.
Meanwhile, Mick Carter is out of jail and intent on seeking revenge on Stuart Highway, while Mel Owen is set to marry Ray Kelly in a bigamist wedding – or actually just set him up for a huge fall.

But, now we’re told, one Albert Square resident will be left with “blood on their hands”.
Two years ago, Easties fans were horrified when Ronnie and Roxy Mitchell plunged to their death.
And, last year, Abi and Lauren fell off the roof of the Queen Vic resulting in Abi’s death… Could a major character be killed off this year, too?
A spokesperson for the soap teased: “Christmas is rarely a quiet time in Albert Square and this year is no exception when at least one person is left with blood on their hands.
“Alfie is determined to give Kat the perfect Christmas, but his dreams come to a sudden halt when the truth about him and Hayley unravels in catastrophic style.
“As Kat’s world is shattered into pieces, chaos ensues with consequences no one can see coming. ”
They continued: “Mick Carter is finally reunited with his beloved Linda, but with revenge on his mind, Christmas will be anything but peaceful for the Carters.
“New year kicks off in dramatic style for Mel and Ray as their wedding day arrives but what does Mel have in store for the deceitful groom?
“As the bride-to-be puts the final pieces of her plan into place, she comes to a disturbing realisation…”
Other storylines include the return of Mitch Baker and Robbie Jackson.
Dean Gaffney, who plays Robbie, recently said: “We’ve got a returnee coming back, which is exciting. For me, personally, I’m a good friend of this person. I think they’re iconic with EastEnders.
“There’s certain people that come back to a show, they might not add to it, but this person definitely adds to it! It’s good to have this person back. Their storyline at Christmas will be very interesting.”
