Ted Murray is returning to EastEnders.
After seven months the pensioner will return to Walford after disappearing to go and reconnect with his estranged son in Australia.
In his absence his flat has been turned into a hangout for Evie Steele’s drugs gang after Bernadette Taylor let Tiffany have the keys.
They have taken over the home she shared with late wife Joyce and ruined it, making it dirty and uninhabitable, meaning Ted’s return won’t be a happy one.
Ted’s return was revealed by the EastEnders official website’s spoilers.

It said Bernadette will panic when she learns Ted is on his way home, and with possible good reason.
While the gang still occupy Ted’s flat, there could be worse news to come for Ted if some viewers are correct.
They are predicting he will arrive back in Walford to discover his council flat has been taken away from him, not from the gang, but from the council themselves after he failed to live in it for months on end.
One said: “Doubt the Council would be happy about him leaving his flat for 6 months.
“Around here they would have taken it back off him I’m sure London flats are very sought after.”
More viewers questioned on DS Forums why Ted would return at all as he doesn’t have any connection to Walford anymore.

One said: “Ted really had nothing to come home for.
“He made his peace with his son and has been with him in Oz for months, he has no close family or friends here, so I’m at a loss really as to why he comes back!”
Another said: “Not sure why he’d come back to the Square instead of staying in Australia with his family, especially since Joyce is dead.”
