Keegan Baker is going to flee Walford next week in EastEnders.

The schoolboy armed himself with a knife earlier this week to take on the gang who were tormenting him about his own stabbing and the death of his best friend Shakil Kazemi.

Shocking scenes saw him take on the gang on Halloween but quickly become out of his depth.

He was tricked into following two members of the gang, thinking they were alone.

But as Keegan unveiled himself, so did the rest of the gang, and Keegan pulled out the knife he had brought with him.

Violent scenes saw him fight with the gang and stab one member.

Shakil’s mother Carmel Kazemi found the boy dead and later confronted Keegan about what he had done.

Furious Carmel told him in no uncertain terms that he had to hand himself into police, or she would and heeding her warning, Keegan will take drastic action.

Next week he will pack a bag, grab his passport and prepare to flee to avoid a long prison sentence for his crime.

But some choice words from his sister Bernadette sees him change his mind and head to the police station.

Will he leave Walford for a new life abroad or one behind bars?

Either way fans were disgusted with his actions this week, with one tweeting: “Almost as much death and blood as an episode of Game Of Thrones on tonight’s #Eastenders.”

A second said: “I get what the storyline is trying to do highlight knife crime and it’s a good thing but think that episode should have been shown later.”

A third added: “Well that was like watching nightmare on elm street.”

“Thought that they should have shown Eastenders after the watershed , but these days there is still alot of knife crime,” said another.

Others, however, praised the soap for continuing to raise awareness of knife crime, and some argued that the scenes must be shown while children are watching so they see the impact.
