There’s a strong tradition of soap stars making the move into music, and it looks like EastEnders‘ Maisie Smith could have a shot at the big time if a new video clip she’s posted to her Instagram is anything to go by.
The Tiffany Butcher actress was singing a song she wrote herself, while playing a guitar.
But she also poked fun at herself by captioning the shot: “OMG, I look so moody (new song who dis).”

Co-star Louisa Lytton (Ruby Allen) was one of the first to comment, writing: “Oh you are SOMETHING ELSE,” followed by a series of fire emojis.
Fans of the star agreed with one saying: “You are so talented WTF!!!! Band pls!!”
“OMG, how can someone be so beautiful and talented at the same time?” asked another.
A third agreed: “Wow your voice is so beautiful you’re very talented.”
Last month Maisie delighted fans as she shared a photo with her ‘lookalike’ mum.
Looking glammed up, mum and daughter looked stunning as they smiled for the camera.

Maisie captioned the post: “My mum’s a SORT.”
Family and fans were quick to comment how alike the mother and daughter are.
Maisie’s sister Scarlett wrote: “TWINS.”
A fan agreed, saying: “Twins.”
Another said: “You look so much like your mum.”
Things aren’t as rosy for Maisie’s alter ego and her own mum, Bianca Jackson.
B made a brief return to the soap for Whitney’s doomed wedding to Callum Highway recently, but youngest daughter Tiff was left feeling sidelined as Bianca fussed over heartbroken Whit.
Especially given what Tiffany has been through, being groomed by a drug gang and raped, she wanted her mum to be more interested in her.
Bianca did start to pay more attention to Tiffany when she realised that mysterious Leo had made a beeline for Tiff.
It turns out Leo is actually Leo King, son of paedophile Tony King, who groomed and abused Whitney when she was underage.
Tony took his own life in his prison cell, but Leo believes his dad was framed and wants to prove his innocence.
He told Bianca he would target her family until she admitted she’d lied about his dad – and returned some money given to her by his grandparents.

Bianca said she’d never do that because Tony was a paedophile and she’d never say otherwise, but Leo wouldn’t accept it.
She and Tiffany left for a spa weekend to get away from him, but given his threat to make her pay, it doesn’t sound like it’s the last we’ve seen of him.
Is Tiffany in danger?
