Alfie Moon gets the shock of a lifetime when Kat drops an almighty bombshell on him about her past… but will he be able to help her move on and lay ghosts to rest?
As Kat and Alfie try to drum up business for Mo’s new Christmas stall in the market next week, Kat is floored when she comes face-to-face with the old man she ran down with her moped a few weeks ago.
Clearly seeing the man again has reminded Kat of the horrific family secrets that had been revealed that day… but Alfie’s left worrying for his wife when she makes a speedy exit from the Square, wondering why the virtual stranger had such an effect on Kat.

It’s only when Alfie manages to track Kat down to The Vic that he realises she clearly needs comforting – but still he’s in the dark about what caused her to flee.
Finally Kat opens up and reveals everything that her dad’s old friend, Maurice, said to her on the day she met him in the pub… leaving Alfie stunned that Charlie could have known about Uncle Harry abusing Kat when she was younger.
What Maurice said to Kat is clearly still playing on her mind, and while she doesn’t want to believe what her dad’s friend is telling her, she hasn’t been able to shake the feeling that he might be telling the truth.
Alfie is quick to take Charlie’s side, trying to reassure Kat that her dad wouldn’t have let something like that happen to her – but clearly he is going to have to take some drastic measures to make Kat believe him.
What plan has he got up his sleeve to make Kat happy again?
Later that day Kat’s shocked when she comes home to find Maurice at the Slaters with Alfie… what is he back for this time?
It soon becomes clear that this is all part of Alfie’s plan to get the pair to sit down and talk properly.
Alfie begs Kat to hear Maurice out, claiming that maybe she doesn’t have the whole story… but she isn’t interested and tries to leave.
