Yes we know it’s not even Halloween yet, but over in Soap Land they’re already thinking all things Christmassy.
And according to Emmerdale’s big boss, there could be wedding bells as well as jingle bells ringing away over in Yorkshire on December 25th.

According to The Metro Executive Producer Jane Hudson has dropped the first hints about Chrimbo in the Dales and has suggested there could be a wedding with a difference.
She told the publication: “We have got a wedding at Christmas not going to tell you who but let’s just say it will bring a different flavour to the village than you’ve had before.”
Although she doesn’t give away who might be trying the knot, there are loads of couples we could see getting wed before the year is out.
Our personal faves are Vanessa and Charity but could it be Chas and Paddy? Could Ross and Rebecca make it up the aisle before Ross leaves the village?
Or could it even be Matty and Victoria who are set to become Mr and Mrs? It would be handy for Vic as she wouldn’t even need to get her bank cards changed.
Last Christmas Emmerdale raised some eyebrows with its experimental Christmas episode featured around Robert Sugden.
The ep gave nods to Christmas moves It’s a Wonderful Life and A Christmas Carol as well as the not-so-Christmassy Groundhog Day as Robert found himself living the same day again and again.
The episode also subtly dropped some hints about what would be coming up in 2018 with references made to Amelia’s disappearance and the White family being wiped out to name a couple of things.
Will this Christmas wedding episode be similarly experimental?
Jane also dropped some hints about stories coming up in the New Year and said there will be a proposal, a huge shock for Marlon and Paddy, a special female only episode for International Women’s Day and a devastating event for two Dingle favourites.
And before any of that kicks off, it’s Emmerdale’s biggest week of the year with the Masquerade Ball and the return of Kim Tate.
Claire King is back for a special week of episodes starting from tomorrow (October 8) which see her character released from prison and back into the village.

But Kim makes enemies immediately and is soon seen falling from a balcony at Home Farm, and crashes into a champagne fountain.
Will she live to tell the tale?
