Emmerdale fans have predicted a shock return from the dead for one character.
Earlier this week viewers watched as Charity Dingle discovered her mother didn’t die of cancer as she was told, but instead was feared to have taken her own life.
But her father revealed that no body had been found and that all of Charity’s happy memories visiting the beach as a child were actually visits to find her mother’s body.
And while the news is tragic, fans think it could mean Charity’s mother survived and will be arriving in the Dales.
One said: “Raise your hand if you think Charity’s mother is coming back #Emmerdale”

A second agreed, tweeting: “Charity’s mom isn’t dead. She faked her suicide to escape her abusive, toxic garbage husband.
“That’s my theory and I’m sticking to it #vanity #emmerdale”
Another added: “@emmerdale oh no charity’s mother committed suicide, no body found, guess a reunion is on the cards then.”
A fourth commented on the theory that the returning Kim Tate is actually Charity’s mother.
They said: “Loving the new fan theory, that while Charity’s Mothers body was never found, she is still alive and will turn up AND the best theory which I find fantastic if not unbelievable is that KIM TATE is her Mum!!!! Brilliant! #Emmerdale”
However, other fans disagreed and wanted Charity’s mum to remain dead so she could save herself.
One wrote: “I know people want Charity’s mum to be alive, but I actually think it works better if she really is dead.

“Charity is her own saviour here and it’s a way of saving her mother through living her own life, much like Aaron is with caring for Liv and giving her a safe home. #Emmerdale”
Another added: “A lot of folks saying they’d want Charity’s mum to be alive.
“For me, though, it actually does make sense that she is dead. And I’m okay with that. It’s realistic. That does happen. #Emmerdale”
