The romance between Ross Barton and Rebecca White has ended before it ever really began.
In scenes aired last night (Thursday 1 November), the pair split up after failing to reach an agreement about leaving the village.
Ross is desperate to depart as soon as possible, while Rebecca has her son Seb to stay for.

However, as the pair were left in tears after making the shocking decision to part ways, fans were baffled by the choice and called them out for being “drama queens”.
Ross will now be leaving Emmerdale without Rebecca, after she told him she couldn’t leave the village without Seb and begged Ross to wait a few more months.
Refusing to put their mutual plans to leave on hold, Ross told Rebecca he had to leave for his new job in Liverpool but that he was NOT breaking up with her.

He went on to say that he had to accept this job and get away or he might never go, having agreed to leave his son Moses with Charity.
However, a tearful Rebecca told him it would be best all round if they broke things off entirely.
Fans were incredulous at the scenes in which Rebecca told Ross Liverpool was too far away for a long-distance relationship – just minutes after she told Robert that their son Seb could visit her in Liverpool anytime he wanted!
Why is Rebecca so upset about Ross leaving without her. Hasn't she & Ross just been telling Robron & Charity that it's not very far away at all. #Emmerdale 😏

So let me get this straight according to Bex Liverpool isn't too far away for Robert to go to visit his son, but when Ross wants to move without her it's to far for her to go visit him. How does that work? #Emmerdale

Ross and Rebecca are such drama queens. Why can’t they maintain a long distance relationship until Rebecca and Seb are ready to move to Liverpool? Now isn’t the right time for Bex and Seb to go but it doesn’t mean she has to split up with Ross! #robron #emmerdale

Ross' drug use is such an issue that Moses cant go with him but the audience is meant to think seb still going is okay? I see.
Also love this stable environment and home rossbecca are showing what with already basically breaking up because Rebecca wont leave instantly.

Complaining it wasn’t logical, one said: “Why is Rebecca so upset about Ross leaving without her. Hasn’t she & Ross just been telling Robron & Charity that it’s not very far away at all.”
Another said: “So let me get this straight according to Bex Liverpool isn’t too far away for Robert to go to visit his son, but when Ross wants to move without her it’s to far for her to go visit him. How does that work? #Emmerdale.”
“Ross and Rebecca are such drama queens,” blasted a third. “Why can’t they maintain a long distance relationship until Rebecca and Seb are ready to move to Liverpool? Now isn’t the right time for Bex and Seb to go but it doesn’t mean she has to split up with Ross!”
Other fans criticised the fact that Ross’ drug use stopped him from being a suitable father to Moses, but that Seb going with him would be okay.
However, one said they had been left “broken” by the scenes, and that “Rebecca and Ross deserve their happy ending”.
Ross’ exit is due to air tonight (Friday 2 November). But will he leave alone, or will Rebecca have a sudden change of heart?
