Emmerdale fans frustrated as Nate makes an infuriating ‘blunder’ while battling to save Kyle

The young lad went missing in Tuesday's episode

Amy Wyatt was distraught when her young son Kyle went missing in last night’s visit to Emmerdale.

On Tuesday (June 18), Amy was so busy rejecting Nate Robinson’s amorous advances, that she turned her back on her son for a matter of seconds.

But that was long enough for the boy to disappear – leaving his frantic mum in bits trying to look for him.

Viewers immediately worried about Kyle’s safety, and also Cain’s reaction when he discovered Amy had ‘lost’ their son.

In the second of two episodes, Nate eventually found Kyle but he was in grave danger – trapped in a garage filling up with fumes.

Kyle had snuck into the garage without mechanic Dan realising – who locked it behind him when he left.

When Kyle began playing with one of the cars, revving the engine causing smoke to fill the garage, he had no idea how much danger he was in.

As Nate eventually worked out that Kyle was in the fume-filled garage, the Emmerdale newcomer yelled at Kyle and tried to kick the door down…

But many of those watching from home couldn’t understand why Nate didn’t just smash the window on the side of the building!

One fan sighed: “Thicko Nate didn’t think of smashing the window to let in some air. Unbelievable. #Emmerdale.”

Another said: “Maybe you should just break the window Nate #Emmerdale.”

A third cried: “Break the friggin’ window for God’s sake Nate.”

“A little boy in a locked garage with a car engine on and, after the adult shakes the doors, he doesn’t smash the window immediately,” noticed another baffled soap fan, while one more tweeted: “Where’s the common sense for him to break the window?!”

After several nerve-wracking moments, Nate was able to rescue the young boy and carried him to safety.

Whether the ordeal will have repercussions for Amy remains to be seen (probably), but we suspect Nate’s heroics will mean Amy looks on him more favourably…
