Fans of Emmerdale were left worrying for the health of Zak Dingle following his scenes in last night’s episode.
Zak made several appearances throughout Thursday night’s episode (May 4), but his apparent weariness and lack of mobility was a cause for concern for some viewers.
Zak scenes in last night’s Emmerdale
The head of the Dingle clan was seen sitting in his living room when daughter Belle announced she was seeing Tom King again.
As brother Sam declared he did not approve, bringing up the fact Tom had previously kidnapped her, Vinny tried to be the voice of reason. But Belle insisted she knew exactly what she was doing.
“So, this Tom is a changed man, is he?” Zak questioned her. Belle insisted he was, explaining how he was a vet in Leeds and he treated her “like a queen”.
“I’m happy for you then,” Zak told her. “I’ll trust your judgement.”
Zak was later seen in the pub. He seemed to be pretty switched on to us when he was one of the only ones to question Caleb: “He’s a closed book,” Zak said.
He then told Chas he was on board with Tom and Belle’s relationship. The dad of seven insisted: “Our Belle’s a grown woman, if he treats her right then good luck to them.”
Emmerdale fans voice concerns over Zak’s well-being
Following the episode, Emmerdale fans aired their concerns for Zak’s health, writing on Twitter.
Several said: “Zak looks unwell,” and ” Zak doesn’t look well,” with one more questioning: “Is Zak ill?”
Another added: “I suggest Liam go and visit Zak once he’s finished with the [baby],” referring to Dr Liam checking out Chloe’s baby Reuben.
“Zak looks rough,” said one more.
“Poor Zak looks so tired,” another lamented.
“Poor Zak, not looking too well these days…” observed another fan.
Could there be an underlying health issue, or is age simply catching up with the Dingle family patriarch?
Is Zak Dingle leaving Emmerdale?
Zak hasn’t been seen on the soap as often as he once was. He returned to the show in 2022, following a ‘mystery absence’ from the Dales.
Since then, he hasn’t exactly been active. When he does appear, it’s in short scenes, usually sitting down.
Zack’s weariness and lack of mobility has the viewers worried… but is there cause for concern?
