Emmerdale fans spotted a familiar face in the village this week as Laurel Thomas’ date.
The factory supervisor’s burgeoning relationship with boss Jai Sharma was given a boost by local councillor Tom who was cajoled by Nicola King into giving Laurel a lesson in how to act on a date.
She told Laurel how he was an expert with all the other councillors going gaga for him and he gave her a thorough lesson in dating.
Unfortunately for Tom, Laurel only had eyes for Jai – but she still tried to learn from the dating master.
Fans behaved exactly the same but mainly because they recognised him from other shows.

Actor Chris Brazier played the dating maestro and he has been in almost every other soap.
Back in 2007, Chris played James in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks.
He was the boyfriend of singer and eventual West End star Summer Shaw before she fell in love with OB and they both fled the village for a new life after the death of his best mate OB.
A few years later in 2011, Chris joined Coronation Street as Will – a hunky assistant at Freschos supermarket.
He was close friends with Izzy Armstrong for a time before her then boyfriend Gary Windass got wind of their friendship and became jealous.
The same Gary Windass who has gone on to become Corrie’s newest serial killer – lucky escape Will!

Viewers would also recognise Chris from his roles in Holby City, The Bill and Scottish soap River City.
He also recently appeared in Doctors for a number of episodes playing three different characters.
Chris isn’t scheduled for a return to Emmerdale as Tom – but stranger things have happened with Laurel originally arriving in the village as a bumblebee party favour.
