Emmerdale fans have seen Bob Hope with no hope recently, as he’s been forced to come to terms with the breakdown of his relationship with Laurel.
Many viewers have struggled to find sympathy for him, after he cheated on Brenda for months… But that might be about to change as things go from bad to worse for the veteran character.

Bob might find himself without a roof over their head this Christmas, as money problems, a lack of work prospects and failing relationships prove exhausting for the unlucky villager.
Last month, Laurel ended her relationship with Bob after realising she wasn’t in love with him after all. Well make your mind up, love!
Deciding her heart still lay with her late husband Ashley, she left Bob broken hearted by breaking up with him.

And things are going to get worse for Bob before they get better…
He already knows that estranged wife Brenda won’t have him back – quite right, too! – and things take a turn for the worse tonight (Wednesday 5 December) when he’s overly friendly with some female customers in The Woolpack.
When Doug confronts Bob about his feckless behaviour, he eventually snaps and punches him right on the nose!
With few people on his side in the village, Emmerdale viewers also know that the former cafe owner is out of work, lonely and three weeks behind on rent.
And with more and more people turning their backs on him, Bob could even end up homeless this festive period.
Bob is currently living in Eric Pollard and Diane Sugden’s B&B after being kicked out of Laurel’s home in November.
But how long will Eric wait to be paid what he’s owed?
Soap boss Jane Hudson recently teased the possibility of Bob living rough this Christmas, hinting that the character will be happy to see the back of 2018.
She told Radio Times: “Emmerdale fans will have their spirits raised and their heartstrings pulled, with joy coming in the form of a surprise wedding and sadness from a down-on-his-luck Bob.
“The festive nuptials focus on the loved-up Dingles with a certain someone from the beloved family heading down the aisle.
“Bob, on the other hand, struggles to find work and his money worries mount. Will he spend Christmas without a roof over his head?”
Will Brenda take pity on him and forgive her cheating ex?
