Cain Dingle’s relationship with daughter Debbie hits rock bottom this week when she does the unthinkable and comes between him and Kyle. Is Cain about to lose his son for good?
Ever since Cain confessed his role in Joe Tate’s demise, Debbie has vowed never to forgive her dad for what he did to her fiancé.
Cain still believes he killed Joe with a single punch on his wedding day to Debbie, but Emmerdale fans will know that it was actually Graham Foster who actually did the grisly deed and dumped Joe’s body at Hotten viaduct. (Or was it?!)

But with the news that her dad killed the love of her life shocking Debbie to the core, it seems there is no going back for the pair.
And just when it seemed that their relationship couldn’t get any worse, there’s another dramatic twist for the father/daughter duo.
When Cain criticises Debbie’s parenting tactics, she sees red and publicly slaps him across the face, leaving him stunned.
With things between them more fraught than ever, Debbie tells Cain that she wants him to leave the village but, when he refuses, they reach a huge stand-off, with neither of the stubborn pair backing down.
Debbie is raging that her dad is still ruining her life, and decides to show him how it feels to lose someone you love by commenting to Kerry that she would be wise to keep Cain out of Kyle’s life.
Cain’s devastated by Debbie’s betrayal and, as Kerry panics about Debbie’s words, she’s shocked when Cain arrives to threaten her and Dan about what will happen if they stop him seeing his son all together.
Kerry and Dan are left shaken by the mechanic’s threats, causing Kerry to take drastic action and call social services.
When Debbie hears that Kerry is meeting with social services as he panics that her words of warning to Kerry have caused this and tries to take back what she said… but it is too little too late and Kerry is already adamant that she is going to fight for custody of her grandson.
As Kerry puts her care to the social worker, it looks like she could have a good chance of getting custody of Kyle… and soon Cain makes matters worse by getting involved.
After a guilty Debbie tells her dad what is happening, Cain storms over and takes his anger out on Dan… only for the social worker to catch him red-handed.
