There’s a familiar face arriving in Emmerdale next week as football pundit Chris Kamara arrives for a charity football match.
If there’s one thing that soap fans love, it’s a good cameo by their favourite celebrity, and following in the footsteps of Lorraine Kelly on Coronation Street, next week we are treated to footballing legend Chris making his mark on Emmerdale.
Viewers will know Chris as a presenter on Sky Sports and Ninja Warrior UK.

He is also a former player for teams like Swindon Town, Leeds United and Brentford.
As well as playing football, Chris also managed teams like Bradford City and Stoke City.
But instead of being the new local celebrity, Chris arrives as the manager of an opposing football team, and soon finds himself on the wrong side of the villagers as things get heated on the pitch.
As the big village football match gets underway everyone’s competitive side comes out when Bear Wolf’s team realise Chris is the manager of the opposing team.
The newly formed Emmerdale football team, which includes Doug Potts and Jimmy King, come up against Chris’s team from a neighbouring village.
But when everyone realises who their manager is, the team suddenly become desperate to impress the famous football legend.

Local vet Paddy Kirk is apparently a big fan (who knew?!) and wants to make sure Chris notices him… but will he get his attention for the right reasons?
And more importantly, who is going to win the battle on the pitch?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
