Harriet Finch is left seriously troubled next week when she finds someone has broken into her house and vandalised the church. But who has got a vendetta against the village vicar?
This week’s Emmerdale will see Harriet attacked in broad daylight on Friday 5th April.
But while the completely unprovoked attack starts to become a new Emmerdale ‘whodunnit’ next week sees another huge twist in the storyline.

With Harriet still in the dark at the start of next week about who the hooded figure was that attacked her, PC Swirling starts to investigate the mystery.
Not only is Harriet questioned about what happened, Dawn is also clearly under suspicion when she too is roped in to the enquires.
Dawn is horrified when she realises lots of people around the village are pointing the finger at her. Could she be guilty after all?
But it soon becomes clear that the attack on Harriet isn’t a one off when she comes downstairs at home to find someone has been in her house.
Not only is the back door wide open, but there is also a photo frame that has been smashed, leaving the vicar feeling more spooked than ever.
However, the next day things turn even more sinister when Harriet gets to the church to find that someone has thrown red paint all over the pulpit…

But who would do something like this?
Emmerdale fans will know that Harriet used to be an undercover police officer before she arrived in the village.
Has she found herself being targeted by someone from her past? Or is the real culprit someone much closer to home?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
