It seems things might be looking up for Emmerdale’s Dawn Taylor next week when she gets herself a job – but how long will it be before she hits self-destruct once again?
Ever since she came to the village, Dawn’s done a pretty good job of causing trouble wherever she goes.
But over the last few weeks it’s looked like she might be turning a corner with vicar Harriet Finch’s help – even starting to get herself clean from drugs for the first time in years.
Next week sees Dawn gets herself a job at the factory thanks to Rishi, and it looks like Harriet’s former step-daughter might be turning over a new leaf at last.

But as she struggles with the withdrawal symptoms from trying to get clean, added to the heartache of missing her son, Dawn can’t cope when she sees Laurel playing with little Dotty.
Harriet clocks that Dawn can’t take her eyes off Laurel and Dotty and worries that she might not have enough fight left in her to stay clean… but is she right?
Deciding that she needs to take matters into her own hands if Dawn is going to have any sort of future, Harriet organises a meeting with social services for Dawn to discuss her little boy.
But the pressure is too much for Dawn and she once again hits self-destruct mode… necking vodka to forget her worries.
However, this time Harriet has had enough of Dawn’s self pitying behaviour and sets the record straight once and for all by telling her some harsh home truths. It might be tough love, but will Dawn take kindly to being spoken to like that?

Somehow Harriet’s little pep talk works because Dawn is on a mission to get clean… but fed up with it taking ages, she decides to go cold turkey instead. Something that Harriet doesn’t think is a good idea.
Dawn arrives at the factory for her trial shift she is clearly struggling with the side effects of her dramatic new method to get clean… and when she gets to work to find Kerry is her mentor, will this help or hinder her?
