Emmerdale SPOILER: Hostage drama for broken Tracy

Is Dawn in danger?

There’s drama heading for Emmerdale next week when Tracy Metcalfe takes Dawn Taylor hostage in a desperate bid to clear her dad’s name following the factory fire.

Ever since Frank Clayton’s untimely demise in the Sharma factory blaze, Tracy has been on a one woman mission to clear her dad’s name.

While everyone else thinks that Frank is a victim of his own crime, Tracy has maintained that he is innocent, and has fought to find out what really happened the day the factory went up in flames.

Next week is Tracy’s birthday, but she is in no mood to celebrate, still feeling guilty for confronting Dawn after becoming convinced she knew more about the fire than she was letting on.

But while Vanessa is determined to put a smile on her sister’s face by organising a birthday tea, little does she know Tracy is still desperate to prove Frank didn’t start the fire.

Despite feeling bad for pointing the finger of blame at Dawn, Tracy later overhears her talking to Will and jumps to the wrong conclusion and becomes convinced once again that Dawn is guilty.

Taking matters into her own hands, Tracy locks Dawn in the church and starts making accusations, clearly intent on keeping Dawn hostage until she confesses.

But of course, Emmerdale viewers know Dawn had nothing to do with the fire, and that Tracy needs to start looking a bit closer to home if she wants to uncover the real culprits

With Dawn in trouble as she feels the wrath of a fuming Tracy, Vanessa is oblivious to what is going on and puts the finishing touches to the birthday tea she has planned.

But when Tracy gets home she starts sobbing in her sister’s arms, totally at a loss over how to control her feelings.

Later in the week when Vanessa collects Frank’s ashes, Tracy is bitter and decides she wants nothing to do with her father, slowly becoming convinced that maybe he is to blame for the fire after all.

Can Vanessa change her mindset?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
