Jai Sharma unwittingly finds himself at the receiving end of Will Taylor’s wrath in next week’s Emmerdale when news of his ‘romance’ with Harriet Finch emerges…
Harriet and Will have had a rocky time of it to say the least. After being lovers years ago, things then turned sour when then-undercover police officer Harriet got him self to jail for dealing drugs.
But fast forward a few decades and Harriet is now back in touch with Will’s daughter Dawn, and the pair were busy building bridges before Will appeared in the village and vowed revenge on his former partner.

However, in true soap style, things took a surprise turn recently when Will went from trying to crush Harriet to death with a coffin one minute, to kissing her passionately the next.
But while Harriet is adamant that they can never be together, despite their old feelings for one another resurfacing, it is clear that the vicar is having trouble convincing herself to stay away from Will.
Next week sees a huge case of crossed wires land Jai in potential danger when Harriet pretends to Dawn that the secret chemistry that she is hiding is with Mr Sharma, and not in fact Dawn’s dad, Will.
But when Harriet gets another message from Will that leaves her flustered, she is forced once again to pretend that it is her ‘secret man’ Jai texting her.
Meanwhile, Laurel Thomas is worried about her friend and goes to see Harriet to quiz her about her contact with Will.
Harriet admits that she and Will can never be together, leaving Laurel appeased, but the vicar feeling awful for saying one thing but feeling another.
But while this romance with Jai is clearly just a cover story – especially because he is busy getting closer to Laurel – Will obviously doesn’t know that and when he gets wind of the fake affair, he sees red.

Targeting Jai in the middle of the street, Will wants answers as he furiously grabs him in broad daylight with a terrified Laurel watching on.
But how far will he go to warn Jai ‘off’ Harriet?
And how will Harriet feel when she finds out that Will clearly is a leopard that will never change its spots?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
