Sam’s first wife Alice died back in 2006 from cancer and Lydia has been worried a suspicious mole on her leg meant she was in for the same fate.
But it’s not the results that leaves Lydia rattled, it’s coming face-to-face with Pat, a woman from her past.
Lydia is thrown by seeing Pat and storms out past her in a hurry, leaving Sam baffled.
He’s even more confused – we know it doesn’t take much, bless him – when Pat makes another appearance and Lydia is very obviously uncomfortable around the newcomer.
Lydia is upset and even more troubled when Sam pulls her up on the mystery woman and asks her to tell him everything.
So who is Pat? And what will Lydia say when Sam suggests naming a date for their wedding?
Lydia and Sam were recently given a shock when a doctor spotted a mysterious mole on Lydia’s leg and suggested she get it checked out.
Lydia kept the news from Sam initially as he’d just told his son Samson that he’d actually helped Alice take her own life when Samson was just a baby.
A confused Samson lashed out at Lydia in anger and accidentally pushed her down the stairs which is how the mole on her leg was discovered.

Lydia eventually came clean to Sam about the mole, before deciding she couldn’t put him and Samson through all the worry again and moved out of Wishing Well Cottage.
Luckily Sam wasn’t prepared to give up on her that easily and with Zak’s help, he managed to talk her into coming home.
But it seems Lydia and Sam might have something else to worry about judging by Lydia’s reaction to Pat’s appearance.
