The moment Emmerdale fans have been waiting for will finally arrive next week as paedophile Maya Stepney takes to the stand for her court trial… but will she be found guilty or not guilty?
For months evil teacher Maya has been grooming teenager Jacob Gallagher, leaving him to believe that the pair are in a relationship while Maya was supposed to be dating his dad, David Metcalfe.

But it’s not just Jacob who has been left scarred by Maya’s abuse…

David is blaming himself for not seeing what was happening right under his nose, while Priya, Tracy and Leyla are all still trying to put behind them what happened in the woods on the night they found out about Maya’s grooming.

Maya is finally in court next week, facing the crimes that she has committed against Jacob, but before she takes to the stand, the teacher can’t resist snatching more time with the teenager.
Despite bail conditions forbidding her to have any contact with Jacob, it seems Maya just can’t help herself when the pair come face-to-face next week.

After David sees his therapist, he tries to make amends with Jacob, hoping they can move forward from what has happened.
But despite his attempts, Jacob is focused on Maya, and David can’t get through to his adopted son.
Later, Jacob is horrified when he sees a live stream on Noah’s phone of some girls confronting Maya.

Dashing off to where the confrontation is happening, Jacob desperately tries to help Maya, but she plays the victim to perfection and tells him to leave.
However, Jacob isn’t taking no for an answer, playing right into Maya’s hands by following her, and eventually she tells him to get into the car.

As the forbidden pair chat, Maya’s facade cracks and she tells Jacob how scared she is about her upcoming court case, and it doesn’t take long for the pair to be kissing again.
