Emmerdale’s Rhona Goskirk finds herself in trouble next week when she suddenly collapses in agony with no one around to help.
Soap fans will know that poor Rhona has really been through the mill lately.
Not only was she dealt the devastating blow that she needed to have a hysterectomy recently, she also found her romance with Pete Barton hit the rocks as she struggled to deal with the fact she couldn’t have any more children.
But things are set to get even worse for the vet next week when her health takes another dark turn.

Rhona’s week gets off to a bad start as she celebrates her birthday but ends up taking boyfriend Pete’s gifts the wrong way.
The pair might have finally reunited since Rhona had her operation, but that doesn’t mean that things are perfect in their relationship, and Pete is fuming that Rhona could think so little of him after opening her presents.
Poor Pete can’t hold back his feelings any longer and delivers some serious home truths to Rhona, and she realises that this time she has crossed a line with him.
But before they have got a chance to address the elephant in the room, Rhona is called out for work by a distressed Kim Tate.
As Rhona arrives at the stables to help Kim’s sick horse, Rhona starts to realise that she doesn’t feel right.
But being the professional that she is, she pushes herself to help Kim’s horse, hiding the fact she is unwell.
However, as she goes to leave, the vet suddenly collapses with abdominal pain.
All alone and doubled up in agony, things don’t look good for Rhona, but will someone find her before it’s too late?

Meanwhile, Pete is totally oblivious to the danger that his girlfriend’s in and is cooking her a romantic birthday dinner for two, hoping to make up for their earlier argument.
But how long will it take him to realise that Rhona’s not coming?
Will village villain Kim save the day? Or will she leave Rhona to her fate?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
