The Dingle family will be left devastated in tonight’s Emmerdale when Lisa and Zak Dingle return and break the news that Lisa doesn’t have long left.
Charity Dingle recently went to visit Lisa in Scotland after receiving a message from her.
When she arrived, she found out Lisa was ill and dying.
Lisa wanted to make funeral plans but swore Charity to secrecy, asking her not to tell anyone about her illness.

However, in Friday’s episode (May 10 2019) Belle excitedly revealed her parents would be returning home soon, blissfully unaware for the reason for their return.
As the family prepare for their arrival and arrange a welcome home party, Charity is uncomfortable as everyone is celebrating the couples return.

Having missed her parents, Belle is particularly happy but Lisa soon realises she has to come clean.
As she explains that she doesn’t have long to live, everyone is shocked and Belle initially refuses to believe that nothing can be done.
It doesn’t take long for the Dingles to realise they will be losing the heart of their clan.
Later in the week, Lisa admits to Zak she is frightened of dying and wonders what will happen when she goes.
Although Zak vows to comfort her, he is heartbroken and struggling to cope.
The family begin to worry when he heads out and goes missing.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
