Emmerdale SPOILER: Victoria in trouble with the police

Robert and Aaron's good deed turns into a nightmare

Next week’s Emmerdale sees Victoria Sugden find herself on the wrong side of the law when Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle’s plan to teach rapist Lee a lesson goes seriously wrong.

The last few weeks have been some of the toughest Victoria has ever faced as she struggled to come to terms with the fact she was sexually assaulted in her own home after a night out.

But not only did Lee – a man who she met after an evening out at a night club as part of Emmerdale’s Big Night Out episodes – rape her after escorting her home, but she has since discovered she is now expecting his baby.

As Victoria’s friends and family also struggle to get their heads around what happened to her, some are more accepting about the fact she plans to keep her baby, despite the circumstances the little one was conceived in.

Victoria’s brother Robert is finding it hard to leave it up to the police to punish Lee, and has made it his mission to teach his sister’s attacker a lesson.

But this week, his vendetta goes a step too far…

Deciding to out Lee as a rapist, Robert, along with husband Aaron by his side, makes posters with Lee’s face on them and the word ‘rapist’ along the bottom for everyone to see.

The pair return to the village after a successful morning sticking the posters up around town, and are feeling pleased with their handiwork.

But when Victoria finds the posters, she is livid that Robert would do something like that and the siblings fall out big time.

Demanding that the pair remove the posters they have just put up, Victoria sends Robert and Aaron on their way.

But as the pair are taking the posters down, they see a fuming Lee across the road taking one of the posters down from outside the garage where he works.

It doesn’t take long for the police to arrive in Emmerdale, looking for Victoria, and it soon turns out that Lee has made a formal complaint against her, thinking that she is to blame for the posters.

This is the last straw for Victoria and she tells Robert that she doesn’t want anything more to do with him, leaving him upset.

Later the pair both visit Jack’s grave and they finally talk, with Robert reminding an emotional Victoria that he is there for her no matter what.

But is the mum-to-be ready to forgive and forget so soon? Or will she push her brother away just when she needs him the most?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
