Viewers of Emmerdale have been left angry as Kerry and Amy Wyatt are now being portrayed as the victims in the latest twist in the factory fire storyline.
It’s been a dramatic couple of months for mother and daughter Kerry and Amy.
Back in August, Kerry stole charity money from the factory safe in order to get Amy out of debt
However, she disabled the factory’s fire alarm to do so, stopping all work.

When she realised the CCTV would have captured her, she and Amy snuck back in and destroyed the footage, accidentally starting a fire.
However, Tracy was in the factory to surprise Billy and she became trapped in a cupboard as the factory began to fill with smoke.
Luckily she was saved by her dad Frank, who had returned to collect his belongings having been sacked from the factory that day.

He managed to get Tracy out, but went back in to retrieve the engagement ring he had bought for Megan and had stored in his locker.
Just as it looked like everyone made it out alive, an explosion went off throwing Frank against a van and killing him.
After the fire, Kerry and Amy covered their tracks and even went as far to make it look like Frank was behind the fire.

However, last week Frank’s daughter Tracy became suspicious of Kerry after discovering her passport and flight details from a month previous.
Kerry ended up confessing to the fire but attempted to keep Amy’s name out of it.
But when the mother and daughter tried to stop Tracy going to the police, she ended up accidentally pushing Kerry, causing her to slip and hit her head.

Although Kerry briefly woke up, in last night’s episode (October 7 2019) she went into Cardiac arrest, leaving Amy terrified about what would happen to her mum.
However, viewers were not to sympathetic and were furious that Kerry and Amy are now being out to be victims when they caused the fire that killed Frank.

Awwww look…#Emmerdale are making the perpetrators the victims AGAIN

Still not liking Amy and Kerry. This is a very poor attempt at trying to redeem them by turning Kerry into a victim. Same thing they did with the guy that raped Victoria. Lazy writing. #Emmerdale

I'm definitely not fan of the idea because Tracey clobbered Kerry it means it gets Kerry/Amy off the hook for killing Frank. A little to much of turning the villain into the victim stories going on to prevent justice, you can include the Lee/Vic/Robert to that as well. #Emmerdale
