Viewers of Emmerdale have questioned how Victoria was able to tell she was pregnant so early on after her attack.
In scenes that aired last week (May 8 2019), viewers saw what really happened to Victoria on the Big Night Out.
As Victoria told her ex-mother-in-law Moira what had happened that night, viewers saw the flashback which revealed Victoria had met Lee outside the club.
After the pair were kicked out of a taxi together, they walked back to the village where she agreed for him to come in for a coffee.
Things soon took a dark turn when she told Lee to ring for a taxi while she got ready for bed. Lee came into her bedroom and raped Victoria.
In the days after, the chef told everyone she had the flu, however Moira could tell something wasn’t right and went to see her daughter-in-law.
In Friday night’s episode (May 10) Victoria went to the police with Moira and it was advised she took a pregnancy and STI tests.
Towards the end of the episode, she told her brother Robert, brother-in-law Aaron and stepmother Diane that she raped and confirmed she was pregnant.

However, some viewers were questioning if it was too early for Victoria to tell she was pregnant.
#Emmerdale missed last nights episode but it's way to early to know if Victoria's pregnant , and didn't she previously have fertility issues when trying for a baby with her husband and they were looking into fostering?

Wouldn’t it be too soon to know if Victoria was pregnant or had contracted some of the STDs? #Emmerdale

How can Victoria already know she’s pregnant? You have to wait At Least 2 weeks after sex b4 a positive result will show up. it hasn’t been two full weeks yet, has it? I hate continuity errors: but it’s some Great acting by @Hodge_Isabel tho She’s killing it #emmerdale @emmerdale

On the NHS website it states: “More sensitive tests may be able to confirm that you’re pregnant from as early as around 8 days after conception.”
As the scene showing her attack was a flashback, Victoria’s attack had actually happened two weeks before, meaning that it would show on a pregnancy test.
ED contacted Emmerdale reps for comment who underlined that the actual rape happened two weeks before and so it’s wholly possible.
